Boston, Massachusetts: Luke Sanders put on an excellent performance in his UFC debut and finished the tough Maximo Blanco in the opening stanza after securing a tight rear naked choke.
UFC Fight Night 81 was held on January 17, 2016 at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. Maximo Blanco vs. Luke Sanders took place on the preliminary portion of the card which aired on FOX Sports 1.
Round 1: Blanco started things off throwing his patented kicks, but Sanders was answering with good punches. he was clearly trying to counter Blanco’s kick attempts, and finding success doing so. he was having success with a nie 1-2, as well. Blanco kept coming forward, which made things easier. Sanders pegged Blanco with a niec punch, knocking him down, but Blanco scrambled and ended up in moiunt looking for an arm-triangle. Sanders defended well, though, and made it back to his feet. Sanders blasted Blanco with another huge left hand, knocking him down a second time. He took Blanco’s back back, sunk in a rear naked choke, and forced the tap!

Sanders preserved his undefeated record with the win and moved to 12-0. Blanco is now 12-7-1.
