Romero fails drug test; Rockhold, Bisping and Kennedy react

Another day, another failed drug test thanks to the  U.S. Anti-Doping Agency.

UFC officials announced Tuesday that Yoel Romero is the latest fighter to fail stemming from an out-of-competition USADA drug test. Read the UFC’s statement below:

The UFC organization was notified today that the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) informed Yoel Romero of a potential Anti-Doping Policy violation stemming from an out-of-competition sample collection.

USADA, the independent administrator of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, will handle the results management and appropriate adjudication of this case involving Romero. Additional information will be provided at the appropriate time as the process moves forward.

Romero has a currently 7-0 record inside the UFC and is coming off the biggest win of his career over Jacare Souza at UFC 194. Romero also has highlight reel knockouts over Lyoto Machida, Tim Kennedy and Derek Brunson.
