Report: Dos Anjos vs McGregor announcement delayed due to McGregor wanting more money

Last night UFC fans were expecting the official announcement of Conor McGregor vs. Rafael dos Anjos and Holly Holm vs. Miesha Tate at UFC 197, during the Washington Redskins vs. Green Bay Packers game live in big FOX.

Globo are reporting that the reason the UFC haven’t officially announced the Dos Anjos vs McGregor match up at UFC 197 is that McGregor has not signed the fight contract as of yet as the Irishman is demanding more money to face the UFC lightweight champion dos Anjos.

UFC 197 is scheduled to take place on March 5, 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

McGregor (19-2 MMA) is undefeated in MMA since November 27, 2010 spanning an incredible 15 fights. During his UFC tenure, McGregor is 7-0 and in his last bout, won the UFC featherweight title knocking out Jose Aldo in just 13 seconds. During his 7 fight streak in the UFC, McGregor has earned 6 post fight ‘Performance of the Night’ awards.

Hopefully the UFC and McGregor can come to an agreement and sign one of the most eagerly anticipated bouts in UFC history.

Update —

Steven Marrocco from MMA Junkie caught up with Audie A. Attar who works for Paradigm Sports Management (McGregor’s manager) who denied the report from Globo.
