Women’s bantamweight contender and an Ultimate Fighter winner Julianna Pena has been arrested for allegedly fighting outside of a bar on Sunday morning.
A report was first made on the Sherdog forums and was followed up by a report from MMAFighting.com’s Marc Raimondi, Julianna Pena was arrested and charged with two count of assault by the Spokane, Washington Police Department. According to the report, the arrest was made at 2:20 am and Pena was booked in jail a little over half an hour later.
The UFC is yet to comment on the situation.
Pena (7-2 MMA) won season 18 of the Ultimate Fighter which was coached by former UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey and former challenger Meisha Tate. Following the series, Pena TKO’d Milana Dudieva at UFC Fight Night 63 which was followed by a unanimous decision win over Jessica Eye at UFC 192.
