Las Vegas, NV | Tim Means owned John “Doomsday” Howard standing before putting him to sleep with a nasty left hook early in Round 2.
UFC Fight Night 80 will be held on December 10, 2015 at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Tim Means vs. John Howard took place on the preliminary card which aired on UFC Fight Pass.
Tim Means came out and immediately landed a straight shot that had Howard rocked. he threw a flying knee, but Howard caught him and briefly took the fight to the mat. “Doomsday” seemed to recover instatnly after the blow, but Means kept oving forward and was able to land some more good punches. The reach of Means was giving Howard issues even while mean was coming forward. He used the right jab to set up and consistently land hard left hands. Howard had finally tasted enough leather and scored a takedown with around 1:30 left in the round. Means made it to his feet with around 30 seconds left, though, and went back to work with his punches, this time landing a good body shot. Round 1 belonged to “The Dirty Bird.”
The left hand was back in action for Means as Round 2 began…and then it was over. Howard came in looking for a combo, but Tim Means landed a beautiful left hook that sent Howard crashing to the mat and left him stiff. The finish came at 0:21 of Round 2.
