Bellator 146 || Alonzo Manifield starches Zach Rosol with Quick Knockout

Thackerville, OK- Well that was quick. Alonzo Manifield makes his pro debut in style, and it only took 38 seconds. After a number of short-lived fights as an amateur, Alonzo wanted to show that it wasn’t just the level of competition that was responsible for his dominance.

And that he did.

There wasn’t much to recap in the opening bout. Rosol went for a takedown and Manifield stuffed it beautifully. It only took a split second of laziness from Rosol, who failed to put up his hands after the failed double-leg, and paid the price dearly. Alonzo landed a hard straight-right and ended things early. He’s one to watch in the heavyweight division.

Alonzo Manifield improves to 1-0 with the win, while Zach Rosol falls to 1-1 as a professional.
