Khabib Nurmagomedov out of his December 11th bout with Tony Ferguson

Injury prone Khabib Nurmagomedov has once again been struck down by injury and has been pulled from his fight on December 11th against Tony Ferguson. Ariel Helwani of MMA Fighting first reported the news.

The Ultimate Fighter 22 Finale will held on December 11, 2015 at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Nurmagomedov (22-0 MMA) has not fought since his unanimous decision win over current champion Rafael dos Anjos back in April of 2014. Nurmagomedov was briefly linked to a bout with Donald Cerrone on September 27, 2014 at UFC 178. However, the pairing was quickly scrapped after it was revealed that Nurmagomedov had suffered a knee injury Nurmagomedov was again expected to face Donald Cerrone on May 23, 2015 at UFC 187.However another knee injury had Nurmagomedov pullout of the fight.

Per Helwani, the UFC are looking to replace Nurmagomedov with Edson Barboza however the UFC have not officially announced this matchup as of the time this article was published.
