Edson Barboza officially replaces Khabib Nurmagomedov, faces Tony Ferguson on December 11th

The long-awaited comeback of unbeaten Khabib Nurmagomedov is officially postponed as the UFC have finally announced that early reports of ‘The Eagle’s’ injury were true forcing him out of his December 11th bout against fellow lightweight contender Tony Ferguson.

But the card at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will still get its dose of “El Cucuy,” as the eighth-ranked Ferguson now faces No. 6-ranked Edson Barboza. Barboza is coming off a ‘Fight of the Night’ unanimous decision win over gritty Paul Felder at UFC on FOX 16.

The Ultimate Fighter 22 Finale will held on December 11, 2015 at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, Nevada.

With Nurmagomedov’s injury, the Ultimate Fighter Finale now looks like this

Frankie Edgar vs. Chad Mendes
Edson Barboza vs. Tony Ferguson
Joe Lauzon vs. Evan Dunham
Ryan LaFlare vs. Mike Pierce
Mirsad Bektić vs. Tatsuya Kawajiri
Justin Scoggins vs. Joby Sanchez
Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Konstantin Erokhin
