When you win a main event two things tend to happen, you get a lot of love from the UFC brass and other fighters start calling you out. The latter has happened for UFC Fight Night 76 main event winner Louis Smolka as #15 ranked Sergio Pettis would like to be the fighter who gets the next shot at the Hawaiian.

Ariel Helwani of UFC Tonight reports that Sergio wants to fight Smolka, according to his manager Abraham Kawa.

Pettis (13-2 MMA) has gone 3-2 in his UFC run earning two ‘Fight of the Night’ performances during that stretch.  Pettis, the younger brother of former lightweight champion Anthony, is coming off a unanimous decision win over former title challenger Chris Cariaso at UFC 192.

Smolka (10-1 MMA) is coming off his first main event and boy did he impress. Stepping into the lion’s den against hometown hero Paddy Holohan last weekend, Smolka earned an impressive second round submission and was unlucky not to be awarded with a post fight bonus. With the win, Smolka jumped over Sergio Pettis in the official UFC flyweight rankings to debut at #13.
