Dublin, Ireland: Stevie Ray put on a striking clinic to earn the nod on the judges scorecard to earn a unanimous decision win.

UFC Fight Night 76 was held on October 24, 2015 at 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland. The whole event aired on UFC Fight Pass. Stevie Ray vs. Mickael Lebout took place on the preliminary portion of the card.

Live play-by-play

Round 1:

Both guys are staying patient, throwing some outside shots but not really committing with any combos. And just like that, Ray throws a huge one-two, landing heavy with both and snapping Lebout’s head back. A huge straight left lands flush with 30 seconds left, opening up a cut next to Labout’s left eye. It wasn’t a dominant round, but Ray should take it on the score cards.

MMA Mad scores the first round 10-9 Ray

Round 2:

Round two looks similar to the first so far. Both guys staying active, while slipping more than they eat. Libout is the aggressor, turning it up with combos, but Ray seems to be landing counters with success. Both guys exchange haymakers but catch nothing but air. This one goes to Ray, as well, but just barely. Wouldn’t be surprised if some judges give it to Libout. For me, however, the story comes down to counters and accuracy.

MMA Mad scores the second round 10-9 Ray (20-18 overall)

Round 3:

Ray looking like Michael Page or Anderson Silva in the third. Dancing, darting in and out, throwing unorthodox wheel kicks. I like it. Libout and Ray are going toe for toe, but the defense boxing of both is why this one is likely going the distance. Ray just picked Libout of the ground and tossed him threw the air. That’ll be a highlight reel staple for the rest of his career. Good fight for Ray, who maintained control throughout the entire fight.

MMA Mad scores the third round 10-9 Ray (30-27 overall)

Official Result – Stevie Ray def. Mickael Lebout via unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 30-27)

With the win, Stevie Ray moves to 20-5 MMA whilst Lebout drops to 14-5 MMA
