Dublin, Ireland: Nicolas Dalby and Darren Till went to war for 3 rounds and 15 minutes was not enough to separate the two welterweights as the bout ended in a majority draw.
UFC Fight Night 76 was held on October 24, 2015 at 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland. The whole event aired on UFC Fight Pass. Nicolas Dalby vs. Darren Till took place on the main card.
Wow, Darren Till is fast. Real fast. The counter punching and body kicks are coming out of no where and landing flush. Till is mixing in some arrogance as well; shaking his head after every shot he takes. Dalby can’t seem to touch him, missing with nearly every combo he throws. With ten seconds left, Till lands a razor sharp upper cut that drops Dalby! He somehow survives, saved by the bell. That’s enough for a 10-8 in my opinion. Outstanding performance by Till so far.
MMA Mad scores the first round 10-8 Till
More of the same to start round two. Till looks extremely sharp and continues to pick Dalby apart. It’s becoming clear that Till is in a different league, entirely. Dalby finally gets into a few grappling exchanges and may have even gotten the best of Till in this area. But nothing in the way of stealing a round. Till takes this one as well, and seems to be in full control of the fight.
MMA Mad scores the second round 10-9 Till (20-17 overall)
Dalby is really going for it in the third. He follows up a head kick with a flurry of punches. He’s turning this into a scrappy fight; something he probably should have done since the beginning.
Dalby lands another head kick and starts to light him up yet again. Till looks very wobbly on his feet! This would be an amazing comeback if he can find the finish. Till looks like a completely different fighter. Exhausted and seemingly hurt. Dalby transitions to full mount and ties up one of Till’s arms to land some big shots. Back to the feet with one minute to go! Till has slowed way down as Dalby is pouring it on. Ten seconds left. And time runs out. Amazing third round for Dalby but the first two should be enough to win Till the fight.
MMA Mad scores the third round 10-8 Dalby (28-27 overall)
Official Result – Darren Till and Nicolas Dalby end in majority draw (29-28, 28-28, 28-28)
