News broke last night that Joe Duffy had suffered a concusion during training at Tri-star last week and with his health in mind, the UFC pulled him and his opponent Dustin Poirier from the card. With Paddy Holohan vs. Louis Smolka set as the new main event, the UFC needed to bump a fight from the preliminary card to the main card, and the fight they chose was Neil Seery vs. Jon Delos Reyes.
UFC Fight Night 76 be held on October 24, 2015 at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland. The event will be the third that the organization has hosted in Dublin, following UFC 93 in January 2009 and UFC Fight Night: McGregor vs. Brandao in July 2014.
Fan-favourite Seery (15-11 MMA) comes into the fight on the back of a hard fought unanimous decision loss at the hands of Louis Smolka at UFC 189 in Las Vegas. 2-2 in his UFC run to date with unanimous decision wins over Phil Harris and Chris Beal, Seery will be looking to make a statement in Dublin. Delos Reyes, meanwhile, will be looking to secure a second straight win following his victory over Roldan Sangcha-an at UFC Fight Night 66, which earned him a Fight of the Night bonus.
