UPDATED: Johny Hendricks pulled from UFC 192; Tyron Woodley now #1 Contender

UFC 192 has lost its much anticipated co-main event only one day out from competition as Johnny Hendricks was forced to withdraw from the scheduled bout Friday.   The news was announced by Dana White via Twitter at approximately 11 AM EST time on Friday.

The initial reason given by White was that Hendricks was experiencing issues while trying to cut weight.  ESPN’s Brett Okamoto is now reporting, however, that the former welterweight champion was actually rushed to the emergency room last night because of kidney stones and a blocked intestine.

As of right now, it is unknown if there are any plans in place to replace Hendricks in the co-main event, where he had planned to take on Tyron Woodley in a bout that would likely decide that next challenger for Robbie Lawler’s 170 lbs championship.

Kevin Iole of Yahoo Sports is reporting that Tyron Woodley will be named the new #1 contender for the welterweight chamnpionship:

Updates will be made available here as more information becomes available throughout the day.
