BREAKING: T.J. Dillashaw vs. Dominick Cruz To Headline Boston Card on Jan. 17

Written by @NickRiznerMMA

It’s official. The UFC is set to return to Boston on January 17 for Fight Night 81 with one heck of a main event. T.J. Dillashaw will attempt his third title defense against the man who many consider to be the true king of the bantamweight division; Dominick Cruz.

Cruz holds a remarkable 20-1 record, with his sole loss coming to Urijah Faber back in March, 2007. Plagued with injuries, Cruz has only competed once since 2011, defeating Takeya Mizugaki in spectacular fashion at UFC 178.

One of, if not the fastest fighter in the UFC, Cruz is sure to give Dillashaw the toughest test of his career. Stay healthy Cruz! This should be a good one.

The card is also rumored to feature a lightweight bout between Anthony Pettis and Eddie Alvarez, although nothing has been officially confirmed.

Also worth noting, this will mark the first title fight to air on FOX Sports 1, since the channel’s creation.
