UFC 191 Results || VanZant dominates Chambers, earns submission victory in the third round

Las Vegas, Nevada – Paige VanZant overwhelmed Alex Chambers which vicious knees and elbows in the clinch before getting earning an arm-bar finish in the third round.

UFC 191 took place tonight at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Paige VanZant vs. Alex Chambers took place on the main card which aired on PPV in the United States and BT Sport in the UK.

Round 1 begins with VanZant pressuring Chambers early landing some nice knees in the clinch. VanZant looks to use her size to her advantage and lands a lovely throw, Chambers is back to her feet but is stuck against the cage in the clinch getting beaten up with knees and elbows.  Chambers is showing her toughness but it looks like her gas tank is emptying toward the end of round one. Solid first round for VanZant.

VanZant begins round 2 as she finished round 1, dominating the clinch work and punishing Chambers with constant knees and elbows. Chambers is probably too tough for her own good here as VanZant is teeing off using constant pressure to overwhelm Chambers. A flurry of punches then has Chambers cowering against the fence however she survives the round. 10-8 round?

VanZant aggressive again to start round one mauling Chambers with strikes from everywhere. Paige looking for a choke but when Chambers defends, VanZant transitioned beautifully to the arm bar to get the tap at 1:01 of round 3.

With the win VanZant improves to 6-1 MMA whilst Chambers drops to 5-3 MMA
