Max Holloway vs. Jeremy Stephens added to UFC 194 in Las Vegas

Following his win earlier this month, Max Holloway called out Frankie Edgar, however with Edgar now booked to face Chad Mendes as the main event of the TUF Finale, Max Holloway has been added to the stacked UFC 194 card to face Jeremy Stephens.

UFC officials announced the bout last night. UFC 194 will be held on December 12, 2015 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Holloway (14-3 MMA) is coming off a victory over Charles Oliveira in his first UFC main event at UFC Fight Night 74.  Holloway was declared the winner by first-round TKO, however, the fight lasted just 96 seconds before Oliveira suffered an injury that caused a sudden halt to the contest.

Stephens (24-11 MMA) is a UFC veteran of 21 fights since making his debut in 2007. Following the biggest win of his career at UFC 189 against Dennis Bermudez, Stephens feels he could enter the title discussion with a win over Holloway.

With the addition, the latest UFC 194 lineup now includes:

Champ Jose Aldo vs. interim champ Conor McGregor – for featherweight title
Champ Chris Weidman vs. Luke Rockhold – for middleweight title
Yoel Romero vs. Ronaldo Souza
Max Holloway vs. Jeremy Stephens

Tecia Torres vs. Michelle Waterson
