A welterweight bout has been added to the UFC’s next big FOX show as Leon Edwards will square off against “Ultimate Fighter” winner Kamaru Usman.

UFC on Fox 17 will be held on December 19, 2015 at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. The news was first reported by the Orlando Sentinel.

Edwards (10-2 MMA) rebounded nicely following a split decision UFC debut in November 2014. The Birmingham based figher earned a ‘Performance of the Night’ by knockout out Seth Bacznski in just 8 seconds at UFC Fight Night 64 in Poland.  He followed that up in July in Scotland with a decision win over Pawel Pawlak.

Usman (6-1 MMA) was the eventual winner of Season 21 of “The Ultimate Fighter,” fighting for his Blackzilians team against fighters from rival gym American Top Team. Usman had decision wins over Michael Graves and Steve Carl on the show and was selected to fight on the season finale, where he submitted Hayder Hassan with a second-round arm-triangle choke for his first official UFC win.

With this fight addition, UFC on FOX 17 now looks like this

Lightweight Rafael dos Anjos (c) vs. Donald Cerrone [a]

Middleweight C.B. Dollaway vs. Nate Marquardt
