James Gallagher, one of the many Irish prospects expected to make their professional debut at BAMMA 22 in Dublin has officially withdrawn from the fight card due to injury. Stephen Coll has also pulled out of his fight with Alexandre Leite due to injury.
With Gilmore and Leite now unmatched, BAMMA have set up a featherweight fight between the pair.
BAMMA 22 will be held at the 3 arena in Dublin, Ireland on 19th September 2015. The card will be headlined by a featherweight title fight between Tom DuQuesnoy and Brendan Loughnane.
MMA Mad caught up with Gallagher following his announcement and the Irish prospect said that he did not want to disclose the injury however he would be ready to return to training in around four weeks. Gallagher had been part of Conor McGregor’s training camp for his UFC 189 title fight with Chad Mendes in Las Vegas earlier this year.
