Former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar and three-time featherweight title challenger Chad Mendes is now official for the main event of the TUF 22 Finale.

The Ultimate Fighter 22 Finale will held on December 11, 2015 at a venue TBA in Las Vegas, Nevada, one day before Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor fight to unify the featherweight belt at UFC 194.

Edgar (19-4-1 MMA) is currently on an impressive four fight winning streak, beating the likes of Urijah Faber, Cub Swanson and B.J. Penn. Edgars’s last loss was a unanimous decision loss to current featherweight champion Jose Aldo at UFC 156.

Mendes (17-3 MMA) is coming off a TKO loss to Conor McGregor at UFC 179 for the interim featherweight title, a fight that he took on very short notice last July. Before that, Mendes knocked out Ricardo Lamas in the first round last April.

With this fight addition the TUF 22 Finale now looks like this.

Frankie Edgar vs. Chad Mendes
Mike Pierce vs. Ryan LaFlare
Joe Lauzon vs. Evan Dunham
Tony Ferguson vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov
