Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson set for TUF 22 Finale in Las Vegas

Khabib is back people — the unbeaten lightweight contender is set to face Tony Ferguson in a featured bout on the TUF 22 Finale card.

The Ultimate Fighter 22 Finale will held on December 11, 2015 at a venue TBA in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Why is Nurmagomedov vs. Ferguson not the main event? Supposidly team Khabib did not want a five round fight in his first fight back from injury per Ariel Helwani.

Nurmagomedov (22-0 MMA) has had injuries keeping him on the sidelines since his April 2014 win over current champion Rafael Dos Anjos. Nurmagomedoc has looked dominant in his UFC run this far, holding wins over names like Abel Trujillo, Pay Healy and Thiago Tavares. The Dagestan fighter is currently 6-0 in the UFC.

Ferguson (19-3 MMA) is riding an impressive winning streak of his own. The Ultimate Fighter 13 winner is currently on a six fight unbeaten run earning 3 post fight bonuses on that run.  In his most rcent bout, ‘El Cucuy’ earned a ‘Performance of the Night’ bonus in a unanimous decision win over Josh Thompson at UFC Fight Night 71 in San Diego.

With this addition the TUF 22 Finale now looks like this.

Mike Pierce vs. Ryan LaFlare
